Funeral homes

It used to be that when a person died they would keep them at home for the wake and visits from relatives and friends. In some places, especially in southern Italy, this is still the custom, while in others people prefer to move these moments away from the home for various reasons, both organisational and space-related and purely emotional.

This is why funeral homes exist, places designated to house all the formalities connected with a death from the moment of death to the moment when the deceased is transferred to the cemetery or crematorium.

Here one can recover the time necessary to devote to the person who has just passed away by being able to manage, with appropriate timing and manners, every phase linked to the loss. One can stay as long as one sees fit to pay one's respects and bid farewell to the deceased person and his or her family in the manner and at the time one prefers.

It is here that the deceased is received before he or she is buried or cremated, in a place specifically organised and equipped by the funeral home, which allows for an appropriate farewell thanks to the professionalism and attention to detail that distinguish us. Inside our premises in Florence, in Viale Milton, we have two funeral chapels, two different reserved rooms where the family can gather to say a final farewell to their loved one. The two mortuary chambers are two brand new, functional and elegant spaces. With separate furnishings, white marble, a carpet, chairs for those who want to stop and spend some time with the deceased and his family, and a glass shrine. The rooms are air-conditioned and have all the elements required by law. In addition, the two mortuary chambers are communicating, allowing them to be used together, in case of need, when it is expected that the turnout for the last goodbye will be quite large. All with the professionalism that has always distinguished us and for which we are known throughout the Florentine territory.
